Overview:
Google Maps Redesign
Signature UX Project ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A project that reflects how I approach UX — starting with a real user problem, digging into the experience through research and analysis, and translating those findings into a considered design solution.
The Problem
This project began with a real-world navigation problem face by me in the real world: when the suggested route doesn't align with what the user expects, even a familiar navigation experience can create uncertainty.
Research & Analysis
I analysed the existing Google Maps experience to understand where users encounter friction, what information they need to make decisions, and how the navigation flow could better support them in real-world situations.
The Redesign
The redesign focused on improving clarity, information hierarchy, route understanding, and interaction flow while keeping the experience familiar and easy to use.
What This Project Demonstrates
More than a UI redesign, this project demonstrates my ability to research, analyse and diagnose a problem, identify meaningful UX opportunities, think strategically, and turn insights into an experience that solves a real user need.
